Jacinta's stub came off today at around 5:30PM. Georgie was changing Jcnt's diaper in the car on our way back from Costco and Target.

40 weeks pregnant
Unless our baby girl decides to come out in approximately an hour and a half...

Otherwise, I have a scheduled induction this coming Monday, 18 June 2007. Or, Jacinta may still choose to come sometime this week.
Below are some photos we took tonight. I keep missing out on taking a photo of Jqn when he gets a hold of the telephone or one of our cell phones. Georgie and I thought it is the cutest thing...Jqn holds the phone right by his neck and starts walking around the house. I think Jqn thinks that the purpose of having this thing (a phone) is to hold it up against one's neck (one day, soon, Jqn will realize that we actually put the receiver by our ear and not on our cheek/neck) and start walking around while 'talking'. Yes, Jqn does his baby'talk' while walking around with the phone by his neck.
I hope you enjoy viewing the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!
Jqn walking with an orange popsicle in his left hand.
He is really into popsicles these days!
Mmmm...yummy!
I love the colors in this shot.
Teethsies.
Georgie tickling Jqn.
Jqn wearing my Crocs.
In addition to trying to climb on about anything that Jqn thinks is climbable, he also likes to step into our shoes. It makes us giggle. Jqn was able to step into my Crocs above with the help of Georgie. At the moment, Jqn can only do one foot at a time...and, rather clumsily.
It's a cool pic taken by Georgie as Jqn's eyes were following the blue ball roll on the floor. What's even cooler is the plastic crocodile in the foreground.
Yup, Jqn stepped onto the Animal Train toy.
He was actually able to put both of his feet in both cars.

Eve of becoming a big brother...hopefully
What we did today.
Jqn and Georgie woke up at around 7AM. I slept for another forty-five minutes or so. Georgie has been really great about having me sleep-in in the mornings, especially in the weekends. He spoils me.
We all got ready and headed out to our favorite pancake house, per my request. It started out nicely. When we got to the restaurant there was no line! That's a first for us, especially on a Sunday. Unfortunately, my Swedish pancakes and Georgie's bacon and cheese omelette were not very good. I didn't even really like the sausage links that I ordered. But, Jqn surprised us because he ate very well. At least one of us enjoyed the meal.

Afterwards, we drove around looking for garage sales. Jqn fell asleep so we were able to stop at Starbucks and get our caffeine fix before continuing on in the search for more junk...errr...baby clothes and toys.
We drove as far out as Northbrook looking for garage sales. We also found a whole lot of cicadas flying around aimlessly. A couple of them landed on me -- eww. And another one bounced off of our windshield.
We were able to find a really cute yellow sweater (new!) and hat for girls. The lady was nice enough to give the hat for free.

Then, we went to Costco to buy fish. We like buying fish from there because of the quantity that we can purchase. We also bought some already-sliced (it's also called 'convenience cut', isn't it?) mangoes and pineapples, a box of granola bars and fabric softener.
On our way home, Jqn fell asleep a second time. Stopped at Long John Silvers, got some fish and chicken. Then, headed to Starbucks (again) and Georgie got a free grande Americano and a free drink coupon. I forgot to mention that when we went to that very same Starbucks in the morning, they really messed up our drinks. They both tasted weak. Georgie got me a smoothie, which I shared with Jqn when he woke up.
At home, Georgie grilled some tilapia which we ate with rice and salad. Jqn really liked the tilapia. He was eating it like a pirate. For dessert, Jqn had an orange popsicle.
My boys are sleeping now as I blog.
We are excited and anxious about tomorrow's doctor's appointment. I hope that Jacinta will join our family soon.
One more day!
Any day this week will do, little one. Sunshine and warmth just for you.

Mani-Pedi Done, Ready To Deliver
Jacinta is expected to arrive in exactly one week from today, on 11 June 2007. I thought it would be a good time to jot down some of my thoughts on this pregnancy.
I will not miss...
1. The additional varicose veins that have surfaced this time around. Last time, I only had varicose veins on my left leg. This time, they are on both and are very ugly and sometimes uncomfortable.
2. The "are you having twins?", "wow, you're big!" and "you're due when??...because it looks like you should be delivering now" comments.
3a. The pelvic bones shuffle -- ouchie!
3b. That sharp pain on the lower right-hand side of my back (ok, like the top of my right butt) when I bend incorrectly.
4. The nausea when I get the Braxton Hicks contractions in my last trimester.
5. Not being able to play with Joaquin because I can't bend or carry him for long periods of time.
6. Being so overly sensitive emotionally. I thought I wasn't, but ya, I am.
7. The mostly unreasonable doctor's appointment times. It sucks having to schedule appointments between 10:30AM - 3:30PM because those are what are available.
8. The maternity belt. And, why isn't there a black one?! Well, there wasn't one available at Mimi Maternity -- they should!
9. Being a "waddler when ur tired," according to Georgie.
I will miss...
1. Knowing and feeling that our baby girl is growing inside of me.
2. The more frequent movements by Jacinta. I don't think Joaquin moved as frequently when he was in my belly. But, then again, my doctor thinks that maybe I'm just more aware this time around.
3. Not having to clean out the hair trap in our bathtub after I shower.
4. The Auntie Anne's pretzel runs! Georgie and I discovered these devilishly yummy treats just recently...they're sooo good, especially when they're warm and eaten right after you buy 'em!
5. Being overly sensitive emotionally because it made me realize quite a few things about what is important in our life as a family and the lives of people around us.
6. Georgie's "increased patience".
7. Looking forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat at each doctor's appointment.
8. Being pregnant.
I look forward to...
Having our growing family be healthy and happy! And, having a glass of wine.
